I am currently recruiting for one of my favorite clients based out of Venice.  My client is a leader in the Healthcare industry who is looking for their next Administrative Assistant.  It is a temp position with a salary of $15-$18 an hour.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter that wants to be part of a growing company.  The company just opened up 2 other locations in the LA area, with plans of opening 2 more locations in the next 6 months.  A LOT OF OPPORTUNITY!

 

Under supervision of the Administrator the Administrative Medical Assistant is responsible to assist in patient care. The Administrative Medical Assistant is also responsible for creating and updating daily schedules for all clients and therapists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Creates daily schedules for clients
  • Works with treatment team to create the best structure for client’s recovery
  • Manages therapist schedules and special needs
  • Adjusts schedules with needed changes and communicates changes to clients
  • Works with human resources if there is a need for an open position
  • Answer and manage phone calls in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner
  • Sets priorities and organizes work, able to demonstrate active multi-tasking skills in a busy work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

  • Medical Assistant certification from accredited school
  • CPR Certified
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital or medical office experience a plus
  • MUST have knowledge with insurance benefits, eligibility, and authorization
  • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills
  • Familiar with using EMR system
  • Solid communicator and good team player with strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of recovery and an understanding of chemical dependency
  • Excellent computer, internet, and business software skills
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients, staff, and providers
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
