Title: CNC Machinist Operator- 3rd Shift- Full Time Hours 

Shift Hours: 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM (or 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $25.00 – Or More (based on experience)
Start Date: As soon as possible
 

Job Summary: Seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team on the 3rd Shift in the Buena Park, CA area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and drill/tap machines, producing complex aerospace components with precision and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC machinery, the ability to perform intricate setups, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, setup, and troubleshoot CNC mills, CNC lathes, and drill/tap machines as instructed.
  •  Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical instructions.
  • Experienced using precision measuring tools (using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) 
  • Supervise machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments as needed. 
  • Ensure that the product is up to specification and meets company standards.
  • Use precision measurement tools (calipers, depth micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Accurately record production data (time, quantity, scrap, comments).
  • Maintain clean and safe work area, following safety guidelines.
  • Assist with direction and coordination of machine shop operators as needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–5 years of machine shop experience, including work with Fanuc controls.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong basic math and inspection skills.
  • CNC programming skills preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check
  • Must be ITAR-compliant

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with large vertical and horizontal mills or boring mills.
  • Skilled in operating legacy and modern CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, etc.).
  • Experience in job-shop, industrial service, or heavy equipment repair environments.
  • Ability to work from customer specifications, verbal instructions, or reverse-engineered parts.

This position requires access to ITAR-controlled technical data and/or defense articles. As such, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) to comply with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
