I am currently recruiting for a Non-profit in the LA area for a Program Coordinator.  The Program Coordinator role is a temporary position for about 3 months.  The pay for the position is $13-$14 an hour.  Must have experience working with children programs.

Job Overview:

  • Maintain knowledge of the funding terms and conditions for all AP programs.
  • Manage all paperwork to verify family’s eligibility and need for service and ensure participant confidentiality.
  • Assist with outreach efforts and recruitment of families for all programs.
  • Responsible for enrollment of families, including certification and recertification of eligibility for program.
  • Work with supervisor, resource and referral agencies, and participant to locate quality child care programs for their children.
  • Maintain, complete, and organized parent and provider files.
  • Work collaboratively with Department of Public Social Service staff, school counselors and other supportive services agencies to establish participant eligibility for child care services.
  • Provide all participants with information regarding parental choice and other program requirements.
  • Maintain all file data accurate and current in Case Management data base to facilitate program reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submits case load reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with file reviews and overall preparations for regular program Audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Must have an Associate degree in Child Development or High School Diploma with a minimum of five (5) years experience working in customer service or with a social service agency related to children’s programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills using English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work well with people while being sensitive to the needs of both children and families.
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
  • Must display proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet and keyboarding 30 wpm.
  • Must be available to works some evenings.
