Job Title: Senior Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift
Pay: $41.80–$46.20/hour + 10% Shift Differential
Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Overtime as required)
Start Date: ASAP

As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards for equipment reliability and compliance within a dynamic environment. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth operations that adhere to cGMP regulations.

What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing scheduled preventive maintenance and non-routine corrective maintenance on production, laboratory, and facility equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing repairs to prevent recurrence.
  • Supporting Engineering and Manufacturing teams with equipment modifications, repairs, and improvement projects.
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs in aseptic cleanroom environments using proper aseptic techniques.
  • Troubleshooting PLC-related issues in collaboration with Engineering and assisting with necessary repairs.
  • Providing mechanical, electrical, and electronic technical support for manufacturing and facility systems.
  • Maintaining, sanitizing, and optimizing RO water systems and supporting WFI systems as required.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance procedures and recommending improvements when appropriate.
  • Accurately documenting all maintenance activities and entering records into Event Track and other maintenance systems in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining well-organized maintenance logs, records, and documentation to support audits and compliance.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • An Associate’s or Technical Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5–7+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in an equivalent role.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing within a GMP environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, test probes, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, ladder logic, and written instructions.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing AC (single- and three-phase) and DC electrical systems (4–20 mA, 24 VDC).
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and similar platforms).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in recordkeeping and documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • PC proficiency, including maintenance software and Microsoft Office applications.

Location & Schedule:
This position is on-site in Irvine, CA and offers a 2nd shift schedule (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) with potential for overtime.
