Job Description

Helpmates is hiring Packers in Los Angeles (zip code 90016). Responsibilities include packing, weighing, quality control, and preparing products, all while following safety and quality standards. Must be willing to work weekends as the holidays approach. This is a temporary assignment expected to last until the end of the year.

This position requires strict adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

1st Shift: 5:20 am - 2:45 pm, $17.27/hr. 


Duties: 
  • Hand-picking individual candy pieces or small novelty items  
  • Placing stretch bands on boxes, inserting brochures, and air caps  
  • Pulling and picking orders  
  • Inspecting and removing candy that doesn't meet quality standards  
  • Standing for extended periods  
  • Collecting and weighing candy in trays
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience  
  • Must be willing to follow all GMP's 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to stand for more than 8 hours, with potential overtime  
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, with stock boxes typically weighing 15-20 pounds
