We are seeking two Trust Accountants for a long term temporary opportunity with our client, a well known insurance organization! The Trust Accountants will be responsible to manage and report on the financial aspects of trusts, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance with legal requirements, including tracking income, expenses, assets, and distributions, and preparing trust accounting reports for beneficiaries.
The Trust Accountant job duties:

Prepare and enter journal entries into the general ledger system.
-
Subsidiary ledger analysis and reconciliation (very large datasets).
-
Ensure that select trust GL and client accounts are in balance, reconciled and items posted are appropriate in terms of classification and timeliness.

Ensure subsidiary ledger trust accounts are in balance with their related GL control accounts.

Provide support for annual accounting audits.

Prepare financial statements and analytical reports as needed.

Work with the Finance System Team and IT to ensure systems are functioning as needed through UAT, data analysis, and reconciliation.
The Trust Accountant requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-
BA/BS in a business-related field or equivalent experience desired.

Five years or more of GL account analysis and reconciliation, client account analysis and reconciliation, and journal entry processing.

Strong written and oral communication skills.
-
Detail-oriented and critical thinking is a strength.
-
Ability to manage extremely large data sets.
-
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access and Great Plains experience required.

Adhere to all PHI (Protected Health Information) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines.

Background check and credit required.
