How you will make a difference:

  • Answers customer calls for the purpose of entering orders into the computer system and assists with switchboard as needed.
  • Provides product or service information to customers to ensure that they receive the best possible service.
  • Processes product orders by entering data into the computer, to determine total costs for the customer
  • Resolves routine product or service problems to ensure customer satisfaction. i.e. Checks manifest for delivery - checks liquor license and invoices for shortage.
  • Maintains goodwill of customers during service period and promotes the sale of company products to existing and potential customers.
  • Computes product pricing and discounts, if any.
  • Acts as customer and Sales Representative contact regarding pricing, quantity, discounts, availability of products, changes and add-ons to orders.
  • Sets up new accounts for all customers.
  • Issues product pick-up and exchanges, unsaleable, account updates, samples for managers, supplier withdrawals and license updates.
  • Updates licensing using marketing report which reflects ABC updates.

You must have:

  • Minimum 2-4 years customer service experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions and ability to write routine reports and correspondence, including e-mails
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with sales staff and customers
  • Ability to understand problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
