We are seeking a Supervisor of Maintenance and Facilities for a direct hire opportunity with a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Orange County!
The Supervisor of Maintenance and Facilities will be accountable for providing maintenance and reliability engineering support to the pharmaceutical manufacturing floor and support throughout the company’s facility. This includes developing, implementing and monitoring all of the plant maintenance programs and managing the company and contract maintenance work forces. 

Supervisor of Maintenance and Facilities Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Ensures proper operation of machinery and other mechanical equipment through the adherence and completion of preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains parts and supply inventories through cycle counts and records. Anticipates the need for parts and supplies. Replenishes spare parts and supplies orders as needed.
  • Manages 24/7 resolve to maintenance related issue in company’s Irvine facility
  • Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short & long-term performance goals.
  • Develop and overseeing of the departmental budgets and capital
  • Ability to resolve and investigate sources of breakdowns/problems with machinery and facility related issues through troubleshooting (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, etc.).
  • Effective organizing and scheduling of maintenance mechanics.
  • Recommends and schedules repairs to facility and facility equipment.
  • Develops to cost saving projects.
  • Seeks out price comparisons and negotiates service contracts with outside venders.
  • Key member of the team that oversees plant safety in a GMP environment.

Supervisor of Maintenance and Facilities Must haves:

  • High school or technical school education
  • 3 – 5 years maintenance supervisory experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment
  • Life Science a big PLUS, but also Food
  • Waste management
  • Clean room experience
  • Purchasing and Vender relations, desirable
  • Ability to read drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to train and lead
  • Customer/Client Focus and able to execute well with internal customer’s requests.
  • Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing or HVAC highly preferable.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance preferred
  • Excellent Communication proficiency
  • Problem Solving skills are required.
  • Experience in Project Management is a plus
  • This position will perform in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
  • Required to frequently stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms over head and ability to lift 60 lbs.
