Accounts Receivable Specialist Needed — Urgently hiring in Irvine!

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3-6+ months

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll manage and optimize the company’s receivables, ensuring timely payments and healthy cash flow. You'll collaborate with customers, internal teams, and management to resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and improve collection processes.

What You'll Do
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • • Manage all collection efforts through phone, email, and other communication channels to ensure prompt payments
    • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delays, and discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues
    • Send monthly statements and reminders to customers, aiming to minimize bad debts
    • Reconcile accounts receivable to the general ledger and resolve any differences
    • Update customer contact details and document all interactions thoroughly in NetSuite
    • Manage the credit application process for new clients, ensuring proper setup before payment terms are established
    • Assist with cash applications, monthly and quarterly closing processes, and audit preparations
    • Respond to management and department inquiries regarding receivables and collection activities
    • Support process improvement initiatives within the department
    • Participate in special projects and provide financial analysis support as needed

     
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred in finance or accounting
    • 3-5 years of experience in collections, chargebacks, and accounts receivable management
    • Working knowledge of Netsuite is a plus
    • Strong understanding of fair credit practices and accounting principles
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

Location & Schedule: This position is on-site in Irvine, CA, and operates during business hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
