We are seeking a detail oriented, value driven, Accounting Supervisor for our client a pioneer in environmental manufacturing for a contract opportunity in Orange County!

The Accounting Supervisor will play a proactive and pivotal role in designing and structuring processes and procedures throughout the organization. The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for processing customer invoices, customer deposits and payments, job costing, inventory, accounts payable and payroll while completing the monthly close and the preparation of the financial statements.  The Accounting Supervisor will also prepare monthly account analysis as required and develop appropriate cost reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timely closing of financial statements on a monthly and annual basis which analyze, monitor and report financial operating results.
  • Manage routine accounting functions and related activities including but not limited to, GL, Job Costing, Inventory, AP, Month-End Closing, and Cash Management.
  • Prepare reports to meet annual audit requirements and periodic tax preparations.
  • Managed the standard costing system to ensure accuracy of inventory and cost of goods sold values
  • Prepares monthly financial statements and weekly flash reports.
  • Assists in the evaluation of the Company’s internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops sound financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensures timely and accurate account reconciliations.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget, communicate re-forecasts as required, manage and control expenses
  • Takes pride in a department run from a “results based” perspective.

Minimum Requirements of the Accounting Supervisor:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency- VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, Formulas, HLOOKUPS
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and listening skills and be able to relate to all levels within the Company.
  • Must be a self-starter and should also have the proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, good judgment, sense of urgency and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
