Helpmates Staffing Services in partnership with a leading, global Aerospace company, is looking to fill immediate openings for 1st shift Assemblers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Remove excess glue from panels. Trims excess material from panel surface. Applies edge fill and glue Bonds, glues, or otherwise fastens parts together. Verify unit dimensions before installing inserts. Assembles and aligns pieces of panel within a square frame using clamps and tape until glue dries. Bonds brackets to edges of panel surfaces and fastens them with tape until glue dries. Cleans dust and assembly residue from the panels prior to moving units to structure assembly

The Aerospace Assembler must have minimum 1year of aerospace/mechanical/assembly experience and must be able to read blueprints. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Be available to work overtime Monday - Friday

  • Documents the materials used in the process to maintain traceability.
  • Reads engineer drawings, part blue prints and interprets for manufacturing of units.
  • Builds sub assemblies of aircraft components, such as, forming of aluminum trim extrusions, fiberglass laminates and other materials for completion of the sub assemblies, parts or structures.
  • Fills and fairs areas as necessary per the established specification or customer limits.
  • Installs inserts and applies edging material.
  • Assembles sub components for the structures/units.
  • Assembles aircraft structures and units, such as; bonds and attaches the sub assemblies to the structure/ well as attaching hardware, plumbing and some electrical components.

  • Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.      

    General Notes:
    Must carefully handle raw material and manufactured parts to ensure the integrity and quality is not compromised by handling.
    As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.
    Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division.


    QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to effectively control and manipulate various pneumatic and hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, clamps, pliers, knives and razor blades. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Assembly, carpentry, construction or furniture experience required.
