Helpmates is currently looking for an outstanding Blending Operator with Industry specifics experience in handling food, Pharmaceutical, or Nutraceutical items.

Job Summary:  Manufacture high quality tablets and/or capsules in an efficient and safe manner that complies with CGMP regulations and meets product specifications. 


Responsibilities of  Blending Operator

  1. Properly handles raw materials, intermediate and finished blends in compliance with established department SOPs, cGMP regulations, and safety rules.
  2. Sets-up equipment for processing operations, and verifies set-up before working on product.
  3. Examines manufacturer product ID labels, quality control release tags, and batch records to verify issued/staged raw materials can be released for production.
  4. Properly uses all scales, including printouts, zeroing, setting tares, and daily calibration verification per SOPs.
  5. Weighs and mixes ingredients for solid dose powders, tablets and capsules.
  6. Operates Blending Machine as trained, instructed by supervisor, and in compliance with all safety and cGMP regulations.
  7. Promptly reports material, process, and equipment concerns, questions, and/or problems to supervisor for proper handling.
  8. Accurately monitors, verifies and documents weight and quality of each batch in accordance with batch records.
  9. Completes production batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records.
  10. Monitors process and equipment, making necessary adjustments as needed or required, to maintain batch record specifications.
  11. Tears down machine and equipment in accordance with training, instructions by supervisor, and in compliance with all safety and cGMP regulations.
  12. Cleans and maintains processing rooms and equipment.
  13. Corporates with personnel from other departments to ensure the safe and quality production of products.
  14. Identifies when weighing and blending process of product deviates and/or differs from past runs of product, and notifies supervisor accordingly.
  15. Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.


Requirements and Qualifications of Blending Operator:

  1. Ability to stand for extended periods of time (approximately 6-8 hours).
  2. Ability to repeatedly bend, twist, and stoop throughout an 8-10 hour shift.
  3. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  4. Able to occasionally push/pull carts that may have loads exceeding 200 pounds.
  5. Able to operate pallet jack.
  6. Ability to occasionally climb ladders.
  7. Ability to be exposed to considerable noise from machinery.
  8. Ability to be exposed to nutraceutical raw materials and powders.
  9. Ability to wear PPE designated for product.

                1st Shift= 4:45 am- 1:30 pm

                2nd Shift=1:15 pm- 10:00 pm


  • Overtime required every other Saturday
