How YOU will make a difference:

  • Maintain accountability for facilitating and executing human capital policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordination and project management. 
  • Tactical implementation of a variety of human capital programs and initiatives and must keep current on federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations in order to ensure company’s legal compliance through policy setting, practice standards, and advice to management. 
  • Lead key Human Capital initiatives for the corresponding business segments they support. 
  • Act as a strategic business partner with assigned client groups to assist, guide, and direct management in all areas of Human Capital and align Human Capital solutions with business needs.
  • Partner with centers of excellence and business leaders to plan, develop, enhance, implement, and evaluate day-to-day human capital activities and solutions, including compensation and benefits strategies, employee engagement initiatives, policy development and enhancement, team building initiatives, staffing and recruiting and performance management.
  • Ensure organization is designed to drive optimal performance - organization design, span-of-control analyses and enhancements to enable effective manager/employee relations, efficient management of restructuring activities when required, proactive identification of potential gap areas in preparation for key business changes and/or growth opportunities.  
  • Advise management on risk assessments associated with personnel-related activities and decisions, working to maximize positive impact while mitigating risk, balancing legal requirements with business needs.
  • Support organization communication and change management efforts, ensuring a culture that enables employee development through effective information sharing at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop spreadsheets, tools, systems, and/or other creative and simple techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data required an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

What YOU must bring to the table to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) and at least 5 years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PHR or SPHR is preferred
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Work requires a thorough understanding of employment policies and practices, interviewing techniques, and Company policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Communicates professionally, with composure, within and outside of the organization. Skilled at coaching and guiding business management and staff towards sound business decisions.
  • Business Acumen - Knowledgeable in current and future business practices, trends, technology.
  • Work requires strong computer skills and the ability to produce professional memos, letters, documents, and reports, generally using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and an HRIS.
  • Work requires the ability to work independently and with minimum supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time Management - Prioritize multiple tasks and provides timely feedback and follow-up.  Able to balance a multitude of tasks at one time with professionalism.
  • Integrity and Trust - Can handle high stress situations and is widely trusted and able to protect confidences.
