Job Title: Human Resource Generalist
Pay: $32 - $34 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

As a Human Resource Generalist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive HR support across various areas, including employee relations, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. You’ll work closely with management to ensure a positive workplace culture and drive team success.

What You’ll Do:
As a Human Resource Generalist, you will be responsible for:
  • Addressing employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors regarding workers’ compensation, ADA, and benefits.
  • Managing employee concerns and complaints, participating in employee disciplinary meetings, and conducting investigations when needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviewing policies and practices to maintain this compliance.
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and conducting agency trainings, including New Hire Orientation.
  • Supporting the recruitment process by helping to identify, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Implementing new hire orientation and employee recognition programs focused on safety.
  • Performing essential HR administrative tasks, including managing workers’ compensation, benefits, and leave of absence programs.

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
  • At least two years of related experience in human resources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Learning Management Systems like Relias.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Capability to receive and implement constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge or experience in private non-profit and governmental organizations is a plus.
