Job Summary: The International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the export operations of foreign and domestic shipments by coordinating and handling the technical details of international transportation, and maintaining compliance.


Responsibilities of the International Logistics Coordinator:

  • Communicate with production planning personnel to determine availability of product for export shipment
  • Coordinate the preparation of export documents
  • Communicate with freight forwarders to determine which forwarder is assigned the export lane for shipment
  • Assist with some import duties; assemble packets, scanning documents, data entry


Requirements and Qualifications of International Logistics Coordinator:

    • Education: High School, or equivalent. Bachelor’s or Associates Degree preferred
    • 3-5 years of international transportation, compliance and commerce or a combination of education and experience.
    • Must have excellent communication
    • Experience with International Ocean shipments, Import and Export with a solid understanding of INCO terms, Tariff System, ITAR/EAR, Schedule B Classification, FTA’s, and Valuation and Marking is required.
    • Knowledge of shipping hazardous goods a plus
    • Must have strong attention to detail
    • Must have strong computer skills MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.
