Position Summary:

Alerting the logistics management team of any shipments with potential causes for concern with active shipments. Serve as primary on answering phones, redirecting calls as needed. Assist with special projects and miscellaneous tasks as needed.  Help maintain the security integrity of the Irvine facility by greeting and ensuring all visitors are properly signed in and out as well as providing escort to wherever they may be going.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring of exceptions of live shipments through the portal and e-mail notifications
  • Escalating exceptions internally to Logistics managers
  • Answering and routing client and carrier communications internally
  • External communications to carriers and clients throughout a shipment
  • Following up with written and verbal communication with shipments
  • Managing inbound calls and redirecting to appropriate parties

General:

  • Interaction with internal departments such as: operations, accounting, management, sales, etc.
  • Greeting visitors to ensuring they are properly signed in and escorted through the building.
  • Administrative tasks relating but not limited to data entry.
  • Willingness to work late hours and/or weekend shifts.
