Machine Operator: We’re hiring! Apply online today to become full-time Machine Operator in the city of Los Angeles (Borderline Gardena) CA. for a Natural Homeopathic Medication Distributor

Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for supporting the tableting manufacturing process by operating machines in a designated room/area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Machine Operator (other duties may be assigned):

  • Supporting and maintaining current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in all production activities.
  • Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at all times.
  • Cleaning of machines and machine parts.
  • Maintain work area in an audit and tour ready condition at all times.
  • Ability to understand and safely operate production machines.
  • Ability to understand and comply with work instructions as defined by the batch record by applying Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Assist department personnel and supervisors as required.
  • Assist with the set-up and operation of powder mixers.
  • Operate tablet machines.
  • Collect material in the trays, store in drying racks and in the appropriate drying rooms.
  • Offload material into the appropriate containers for the next step in the manufacturing process.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned or as needed.

3rd Shift: 9:00pm - 5:30am

Pay Rate: $15.50/hr 

Education and/or Experience of Machine Operator:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years experience safely operating production machines in an FDA compliant manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of Machine Operator:

  • Neat and legible handwriting for Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Must be able to work in a busy environment and be detail-oriented in order to maintain a high level of quality.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to follow specific verbal directions from department personnel and supervision.
  • Ability to read and perform basic math calculations and understand basic units of measure.
