Helpmates is partnering with a state-of-the-art Life Science company in Orange County. They are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team and contribute to the overall success.

The Quality Assurance Technician will monitor and maintain the quality system processes and documentation. Inspect all incoming raw materials, works-in-process, and finished products for compliance with quality requirements. Oversee the final quality assurance process control checks on designated outgoing shipments.

Quality Assurance Technician Responsibilities include:

  • Perform inspections efficiently and according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Conduct, analyze, and compile the results of raw materials, in process, and finished materials.
  • Fundamentally have the knowledge/understanding of mechanical inspection using basic hand tools such as Calipers, Micrometer, Height Gage, etc.
  • Communicate feedback to various departments concerning inspection results.
  • The Quality Assurance Technician will identify and initiate NCR’s for processing.
  • Coordinate calibration actions with equipment and corresponding suppliers.
  • Will ensure that the quality system procedures and related documents are updated and current in system.
  • Interacts with the team and leadership to provide Quality Assurance and safety-related information of quality and safety concerns, techniques, and regulations.

 

Quality Assurance Technician Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Life Science, Diagnostic Labs is plus)
  • 2 years of inspection experience with various types of raw materials (i.e. metal, plastic, electronics)
  • Experience with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparator
  • Experience working with blueprints, part specifications, and measuring tools including height gages, calipers and other measuring devices
  • Ability to calibrate gages
  • Basic Microsoft skills, and data entry
