We are seeking a Sales Operations Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a large organization in Orange County! The Sales Operations Manager will take a leadership role facilitating the sales of products through regional sales offices around the globe. 

This Sales Operations Manager will be responsible to ensure proper systems are in place to support seamless execution of sales from quote through shipment across all geographies outside North America.  This will include, at a minimum, the development and maintenance of product specification tools, regionalize part number structures, global pricing tools, and aftermarket parts identification. The Sales Operation Manager will also develop and introduce new sales programs to the international markets that expand the opportunities for selling and servicing products in new and existing markets.  This position will require close coordination of activities with regional and country sales leaders, as well as, sales support, factory order processing, product management and IT functions.  

The Sales Operations Manager principle duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all activities related to sales of products through regional sales offices outside North America
  • Work with regional sales leaders to introduce new sales programs that expand sales opportunities as well as increase aftermarket revenue
  • Develop and regularly generate reports that efficiently show the performance against established KPIs of each country and areas of opportunity. These reports will be used by the regional Heads of Sales to focus on under-performing country sales organizations
  • Manage global part number structures and ensure all relevant product options are available for regional needs
  • Support country and regional marketing teams as needed with marketing communication materials
  • In partnership with product management, regional sales leaders and global finance, develop pricing and discounting guidelines within world areas that align with market requirements and internal profit hurdles
  • Ensure processes are in place that consider the unique requirements around each region in the areas of order entry, manufacturing, and shipping of products
  • Manage the process of introduction new products to international markets after North American releases
  • Drive the development product and market training materials for use by international personnel and channel partners globally
  • Ability to navigate a global organization by interfacing with key stakeholders to both gain input as well as influence to achieve goals
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

The Sales Operations Manager Education, Experience & Skills requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field
  • years of progressive work experience in marketing, product or project management or a related field
  • Experience working with highly engineered industrial or commercial products sold within a business to business environment
  • Experience supporting and working with outside sales teams within international markets to help them grow sales
  • Comfortable working with large data sets within MS Excel
  • Bilingual Spanish or Chinese is a +
  • Experience working with IT personnel to give clear needs around integrating systems such as CRM and ERP
  • Experience working with engineered product structure data
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent English written, oral, and visual communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, both within and outside
  • Advanced PC skills including use of MS Office products
