Job Summary: With direct supervision, the Service Technician Assistant is responsible to assist the Engineers or Technical Support Advisors with the repair of video and printer products, transfer of product and equipment between warehouse and repair center, maintaining repair center organization, package product for shipment or stock, and order parts as advised by service group.


Responsibilities of the Service Technician Assistant:

  • Receive product into the repair center by logging into SAP database. Requires a high degree of detail and accuracy with data entry.
  • Assist in repairs by unpacking, cleaning, staging, placing part orders, filling out repair traveler forms and all repair related forms.
  • Disassemble and install spare parts in order to transact repairs as instructed by service department engineers or technical support advisors.
  • Transfer product between repair center and warehouse by using pallet jack, dolly, or cart.
  • Take part in spare parts salvage projects and reworks as needed and instructed by the department manager.
  • Package products based on packaging requirements for shipment or for stock/storage.
  • Maintain efficient organization of the repair center and related warehouse areas.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of display wall-related and printer products via hands-on use and by studying specs and features of the product lineup (displays/controllers/software/etc.).
  • Attend product training as requested by management.


Requirements and Qualifications of the Service Technician Assistant:

  • High School education or equivalent. AS in Electronics or taking electronics courses preferred.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment and related tools and equipment.
  • Values being a member of a team, is dependable, takes initiative, communicates clearly and supports organizational change.
  • Willing to take steps to learn product repair and technical support.
  • Must be able to abide by all company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Microsoft: Excel, Outlook, and SAP

  • Office hours: Full – Time hours Monday- Friday 7 am-4 pm
