Shipping Support Coordinator

Must have the following abilities for this Shipping Coordinator position

  • Excellent communication and follow up/ follow through skills
  • Critical awareness if there are any issues that need to be sent to the management team for review
  • Telephone experience, answering and transferring callers to the appropriate staff member
  • Greet visitors, ensure all guests sign in and are provided a Visitor access badge, collect Visitor badges when they leave along with signing out before they leave the building – Security is a MUST
  • Escort all guests to proper destination in the building

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor exceptions of shipments through the company portal and e-mail
  • Identify and inform all escalated exceptions to management team
  • Answer and rout customer and carrier communications
  • Maintain communications with carriers and clients throughout the shipment process
  • Following up with written and verbal communication with shipments
  • Administrative tasks including accurate data entry
  • Managing inbound calls and redirecting to appropriate parties
  • Team player and readiness to work late hours and/or weekend shifts
  • Results driven, attention to detail, process-oriented
  • Consistently strives for excellence
  • Actively listen, comprehend and assess logistical matters
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Take initiative and dedicated to meet expectations
  • Deliver solutions. Stay energized and positive
  • Enjoys developing professional, supportive relationships 

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Ability to work the standard schedule of:  Training M-F 8-5, after training be open to work swing or grave shift M-f or W- Sun
  • Logistics, shipment tracking experience strongly preferred
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned - Must be a team player
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and flexibility to handle changing priorities
  • Computer savvy: Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Type minimum of 45 WPM
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned - Must be a team player
